The Stories of A to Z: Silhouette Giveaway for YOU!!! Plus RIDICULOUS DISCOUNT CODE! ($300 value!)

The Stories of A to Z: Silhouette Giveaway for YOU!!! Plus RIDICULOUS DISCOUNT CODE! ($300 value!)

Merry Christmas!!!!!

I hope everyone was able to enjoy this holiday weekend regardless of how you're spending it. I pray that everyone is able to connect with someone they care about! We have family all around, some that aren't able to come home for the Holidays but we always make a phone call to keep those family ties tied nice and tight! And we had a wonderful time the last couple of weeks reconnecting and catching up with extended family near and far. Yesterday my  hsuband and I and our 3 daughters, 2 of our soon to be son-in-laws, (did I mention we have 2 daughters getting married this coming summer?) and our oldest daughter and her husband, and their 3 children, our only grandchildren...(so far) gathered at our daughter and son-in-laws house for our family Christmas. We've done that the last couple of years because they have the only children in the family so far and it's easier for us to all gather there and save the little ones from having to leave their new gifts and travel out. I know that in years to come that will have to change as the family grows. But for now it works for all.

I wanted to show you an ornament I found at Lowes Home Improvement Store for 60% off a couple of days ago. I only paid $1.92 for it. Right in my very small budget! A gift from me to me! It's a Retro console television with a 3D winter scene on the inside. I tried to get a good picture of it but it was a bit hard. I have it hanging on the tree now but soon it will go into my Santa and Mrs Claus Christmas Roombox. I'll show you later this week how I managed to squeeze it into that roombox! What a find! I was so excited when I saw it. I'm afraid it might not be the exact scale but I'm going to make it work! LOL!

I think I'm done!

For now at least! Here are a few more outfits for the granddaughters dolls. This was so addicting. I could have sewed and sewed and sewed! In fact I have a few more all cut out and sitting in a pile, waiting. If I have time before the BIG day I'll sew up a few more. Otherwise I'll get back to them after the holiday hoopla is over.
The colors are off a bit because of our grey skies lately. We've been getting tons and tons of snow. But along with that has come the gray skies and swirling winds.

Don't forget to poke the pictures and you'll get to see them closer.

Have a great day everyone!

Hurry, Hurry, Hurry

This is what happens when you wait until the last few weeks before Christmas to finish up all those gifts. I've been crocheting scarves, making little girls doll clothes, for the new dolls the granddaughters are getting for Christmas from their other grandparents, decorating bath towels, Christmas parties on the weekends and all of the regular stuff that life dictates all week long.

Here's a picture of two of the doll dresses. I have pants and tops, raincoats, pinafores, and more dresses to sew. I'm going to keep going until I either run out of time or get sick of making doll clothes and need to move to something else. The dresses are laying on my yellow table placemats. Guess I should have moved those, since  the yellow dress seems to blend right in. The patterns for these clothes are ones I bought off ebay. They're for American Girls dolls.

Don't forget to poke the picture twice for a super closeup look. But don't look too close LOL! I'm not the best seamstress, I just get by, by faking it!

Have a great weekend everyone! Stay warm and stay safe with all these storms that have been passing thru. The cities just above us were blasted with almost 50" of snow coming off of Lake Ontario. Luckily we only had about 12 or 14 inches. And that has now settled to about 6 inches with some nice sunshine. But they say another storm is on it's way up thru PA. So those are always the bads ones for us.

And Hurry, Hurry, Hurry and get all those last minute things done because Christmas Eve will be here before you know it and then it'll be too late!

My Dollhouse In Progress

I hope everyone that celebrates Thanksgiving had a wonderful Holiday. I hope you were able to spend it with friends/family and doing what you enjoy. I cooked dinner here at my house this year and spent it with my grown children. We had a wonderful time. After dinner some of us played games with the little ones, watched a movie, Grown-Ups, and football of course, and looked thru all the store adds for Black Friday in the 3 different towns that our family lives. Those were all great things to do while our food settled and we enjoyed each others company!

I'm including a picture today of the dollhouse that I've been working on for... ahhhhh.... I'm embarressed to say.....probably close to 6 years. I've worked on it off and on, sometimes putting it up for a year or more at a time. Every winter I tell myself that I'm going to get it out and all the materials from the box and I'm going to just finish it up. It really wouldn't take much to get it done.....but alas I don't end up doing enough to barely notice. Maybe this winter I will finally get it done. I would really like to finish it. I have most of the rooms wallpapered already and I'm upset that I didn't add electric to this house. At the time I had started work on this house, I'd never done electric and never gave it a thought to do it to this house. Since then I've done a roombox with electricity and know a bit more about it. I really don't want to have to tear all the wallpaper off to add electric so I think I'll just forgo it. I've really spent most of my time since starting this house working with roomboxes. But I need to get back to this and get it finished.

Have a great day everyone!

Links in the sidebar

I'm trying to figure out how to add links in my sidebar. I want to be able to show you a link to my etsy and ebay and also whenever I want to showcase or direct someone to a blog for a giveaway or whatever. I've looked and looked and it's just escaping me for some reason. Could someone point me in the right direction please? And thank you!

Halloween Giveaway Winner

I was so excited to open my email a while back to find out that I had won these gorgeous minis from Donna http://www.hagerbears.blogspot.com/. She makes the most beautiful bears and miniatures and is just so talented. Grab a cup of something to drink and be prepared to sit a spell while you browse thru Donna's blog. She is so talented and has so many fine miniatures. I'm so happy to have some of her work. I still can't believe it! I can't afford to purchase miniatures such as these, so I'm just so thrilled to have received them as gifts. I keep picking them up and looking and looking! Everything is so very tiny but yet so full of details. Check out those donuts!

THANK YOU SO MUCH DONNA .....for your generosity!

Little Girls Roombox

Below are pictures of the Little Girls Roombox I've been working on for the last couple of years. I don't think I can really fit an awful lot more into it except for the wall space at the back, over the bed. I'm looking for the perfect little shelf to hang there that I can fill with little dollies. You know how it is putting these roomboxes together....you're always on a search for something special. Again many of the items in this roombox were made by either myself or the members of my miniature group. And a few things from the online miniature groups I belong to. I haven't swapped on those in a very long time. Just not enough time in the day for everything I'd like to do. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Don't forget to poke the pictures twice to get to see everything up close and personal!
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Basement Roombox

With the help of some friends from a miniature group I belong to I've been able to put together this awesome utility shelf for my Basement roombox. You'll also see a wonderful rolling laundry cart that Jamie made for me. This roombox was so much fun to create and I'm slowing getting it filled up with some treasures. I have a long way to go! Someday I'd love to have a Marcia Backstrom doll standing at a table folding laundry. One can dream!

Enjoy the photos and don't forget to poke them, and then poke them again to get really big pictures so you can really check them out.

It's been so very long since I've last posted. I sincerely apologize to those that missed me. The summer just got away with me. It's been so busy.

And I promise to get back here in a little more timely manner. With the onset of cold weather I'm sure I'll be spending a lot more time inside!

Don't forget to poke the picture to get a super large one so you can really see all the details. And don't forget you need to poke the picture once then again to get it super large.  If you have any questions please don't be afraid to ask! I wish you all a happy weekend!

FEEDING THE FISH

Kathi over at http://beautifulminiblessings.blogspot.com/ is having a giveaway in celebration of her first blogging anniversary. While I was reading her blog this morning my 4 year old granddaughter discovered the Feeding the Fish icon on the side of her blog and wanted to do that. So I showed her how and she had a great time! She thought it was the funniest thing to click for food and see the fish swimming around eating it! I was amazed at her amazement! Children just bring so much joy to the littlest things don't they? Can you recognize your page Kathi?

Have a good day everyone!
